Feb makes me mushy, I stop and look at places I walk by everyday and the cherry trees that start showing signs of life.... and the hundred things that I take for granted everyday, but most of all it is the little girl asking me millions of questions a day, sharing her discoveries and secrets with me that brings tears of gratefulness to my eyes.
Thank heavens for her.
Here's carol king... saying it much better that I ever could....
Although you see the world
Different than me
Sometimes I can touch upon
The wonders that you see
And all the new colors and pictures you've designed
Oh, yes, sweet darling, So glad you are a child of mine
You don't need direction
You know which way to go
And I don't want to hold you back
I just want to watch you grow
You're the one who taught me
You don't have to look behind
Oh, yes, sweet darling, So glad you are a child of mine
Nobody's gonna kill your dreams
Or tell you how to live your life
They'll always be people to make it hard for awhile
But you'll turn their head when they see you smile
The times you were born in
May not have been the best
But you can make the times to come
Better than the rest
I know you will be honest
If you can't always be kind
Oh, yes, sweet darling, So glad you are a child of mine

Hi
I was just bloghopping and came across your blog, nice one:)
Belated birthday wishes to your daughter, I gathered from one of your earlier posts that she is feb born piscean like me.
take care
P
thanks p.
I tried very hard for her to be a feb born aquarian... but she turned out to be just as stubborn as me.
And a belated happy b'day to you too :)
Hi Paro,
Now you have "offended" me(just kidding:))
But, seriously, why did you NOT want ur daughter to be a piscean....
When my 2 year old turned out to be a jan born aquarian, I pretty much knew what I was getting into, as my elder sis and 3 of my close friends are aquarians...
take care
P
:)
Because I like air signs and my best friend ever is an aquarian ... I being a fire sign seem to get along well with aquarians and not so well with water signs ( like piceans )
Yes, I know these are just signs and not science... just call it an irrational fixation :D
my daughter has proved me wrong.. I get along very well with her and I learn a lot from observing the little girl who is so different from me...and yet we look so alike that she might as well be my clone ...
you live and learn, I guess.
No offense intended.
And, very nice meeting you :)
I totally understand:)
Even I need to be blamed partially, because when I was pregnant with my daughter, I was hoping against hope that she would not be - I dont remember the sign, but the one that comes before aquarius- because one of my very close friend is of that sign and she is a nonstop chatterbox and she kind of gets to me and my other friends :)
Was I glad when she turned out to be an aquarian:)
But then I am told aquarians are very independent creatures and the story goes on ......
gosh, I didnt mean my post to be this long but it sure is fun interacting with you:)
a little bit about me(as it is not fair to know about you, though a little bit but still and not reveal anything about me..)
am a south indian married working mom of a 2 year old currently staying in US.
take care
P
hmmm.
Two is an interesting age :)
do you have a blog?
and I could almost be talking to myself.. I often end up using 'p' too :)
I am in seattle, from your post times, I was pretty sure you were not a west coaster, but if you have a two year old.. you could be anywhere :)
take care.
